Samsung has announced that it will launch a new line of intelligent LED lamps. The products are expected to be exhibited during the architecture and technology fair Light+Building 2014, which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, between March 30 and April 4.
The differential of this new line will be the use of Bluethooth instead of WiFi, which implies a direct connection with devices that use the technology, without the need to create a wireless network in place to connect between the devices. And you can get more from act-test-centers.com.
“Based on our extensive experience with semiconductors and LED technology, as well as our expertise in industrial tools, we are in a unique position to deliver stimulating and intelligent solutions for the LED lighting industry,” said Hee-Chong Yoon , Vice-president of LED bulb marketing at Samsung Electronics.
Yoon enthusiastically completed: “Our ultimate goal is to connect the digital spots in our customers’ lives and Samsung is very well positioned to deliver LED solutions to the smart homes of the future.”
10 Years Of Useful Life
The company’s new smart lamps can be darkened by up to 10% brightness and the life of each lamp is around 15,000 hours – or 10 years. In addition to the images, some specifications can be found in a table published on Samsung’s official blog. Prices have not been announced, but new information should appear until the first week of April.
